[Poem comic by Chrissy Williams and Tom Humberstone.]

BURST

I was rolled into my own body
and shaken out over the Thames

where the cold updraught found me

and I came apart like a new year

like a ream of pages relieved
from an unopened Russian novel

and I burst like blossom into the air
